U.S. Government Report on Widespread Climate Changes (U.S. Climate Change Science Program and the Subcommittee on Global Change Research )

Unless you have the observation skills of modern day Helen Keller you have probably noticed that over the last decade or so the weather has changed quite a bit. In the simplest form it probably feels to many that seasons have just simply changed in a way that it almost feels like they start a month later than they used to, or last a month or 2 later than they used to. Just this year it is June and it still feels like early spring most days. Days in the 40s for no reason at all. Winter doesn’t even seem to start until January anymore. We aren’t exactly going to see the end of the world anytime soon so you don’t have to worry about all your maternity clothes being bought for naught, but there are quite a few reports of interest out that I felt I would share today for anyone who is interested in this kind of stuff. Enjoy the extremely dry read ;) .

The U.S. summary of climate science was released May 29 and of course it has tons of great info because it was released by our government :P . You can download the complete U.S. Climate Change Science Program and the Subcommittee on Global Change Research report from one of the mirrors here if you want to really delve into the findings

I’m not going to dissect the report here. Just want to put out some of the reports that are available and let you draw your own conclusions.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has also recently released a report. This report can be found on the IPCC website along with a bunch of other info.

Another report that was released by a party not associated with this one called the Science and Environmental Policy Project can be found here (This is a .pdf document at the link. no download so you a need a .pdf reader to get to it.)
