Mario more famous than Paris Hilton

This is sort of a funny story. Mario, of Super Mario Brothers fame has won a survey of recognizability. Although I have no idea how credible this particular survey is, 69% of pthe 1,000 (wow…what a sample) people that took the survey recognized Mario and only 53% recognized the pornstar (er…actress, inventor of HDMI switches? or something) Paris Hilton.

Nintendo cleverly announced the survey (yup…biased obviously) to coincide with the release of newest Mario game, Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii.
