Video Games: PC vs. Console vs. Handheld
What do you guys think is the best video game experience? I know there are some that swear by playing on the PC, but I am more of a console guy. I think I only “own” 3 PC games. Civilization IV and Beyond the Sword Expansion, Half Life 2, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Still not quite sure what half the crap in Oblivion
is for, like diamond rings, all the weird plants, and whatever else. Man that world seems immense.
My major problem with the PC games is that it seems like every time a new one comes out I have to go buy a new friggin’ video card because they make the games so advanced, and video technology updates every 2 days. Plus you have to buy more RAM every 2 hours since you can never have enough.
I like playing with a controller much better as well. I know you can use them ont he PC, as I have a Playstation 2 type controller on mine, but I like being able to play on the BIG screen and not having to use a keyboard when I play.
People will argue that the first-person shooter games are better on the PC, and I could agree, but I’m not going to because they aren’t really that special with the keyboard controls. You use about 10 buttons, and controllers for consoles have that many buttons now as well as a stick which is so much easier.
As for handhelds? Bah I say. Rather watch pr0n on my phone than play a handheld video game. As much as these stupid things cost and the relative crapiness in graphics, as well as terrible gameplay I pass. After all, I’m not a junior high kid anymore trying to sneak things by in class.
