Well written, I can see what you mean with the conflict of interest. You aren’t complaining about paying 2 bucks but the principals behind the two bucks. I really hope they’ve shaped up in the years it’s been since you’ve had your experiences, I really need this to work for me right now…lol…I just started yesterday and I was doing some research to find out their reputation since I like to know who and what I’m dealing with. Glad I found this, gotta have the pros AND the cons to make an informed decision.

Aside from anything else, the thing that bums me out the most is I was ecstatic to receive that confirmation email yesterday. It’s so hard right now even migrant worker pay makes me happy, as it is better than nothing. Combined with other things like being diagnosed with Lupus and finding out I can’t wait tables anymore or do a lot of normal jobs, I had no idea where to turn. On top of that I have a very young son that I would rather be home with. We’re one of the families hit by the housing crash. My husband had to downgrade from contractor to cook in a small restaurant. We’ve barely been making ends meet and the tiny little bit this may give us extra is so greatly needed that I am thankful for it, no matter how small. I’m just nervous I’m gonna mess up and they’ll fire me anyway. I may not have much to worry about for much longer with that…LOL Thanks for the info! Outdated or not.

No problem. I am a dick to people that don’t read the articles and try to argue against them with points that I never made, or disregarding the points I did make altogether. I repeatedly tell them over and over how old these are and if things changed that I honestly don’t care.

This is a SERIES, and combined together they show a trend of dishonesty. Maybe one alone isn’t a big deal, but combine them all together and you have a group of people that are constantly lying, and screwing over the guides.

I think I made it pretty obvious there are more posts than this one. If someone has a real argument I may actually listen, but most people are too lazy to read what they are going to talk about and start rambling on as if all they did was read the title. I can tell the difference.

Considering that I get comments still about ChaCha it seems to me that things haven’t changed all that much. Not to mention that when I see a ChaCha Answers listing in a Google search I know the info is going to be completely inaccurate most of the time. Regardless, I’m not going to take the time to look into it again.

I’ll say it again. I wrote these because ChaCha treated guides like shit. First hand experience with the program as well as many people I got input from along the way. This is nothing more than a warning as to what people are getting into. If they decide they want to do it then by all means go for it. I assume that most people don’t like getting screwed out of money and getting paid like a migrant worker.

When I started reading this article I was totally on your side JMH. However after reading down through the comments and your responses to some people, I’m finding your really just a bully and lack the ability to comprehend any other points of view other than your own. The fact that you are ranting about something you haven’t been a part of for years is disconcerning to say the least. I know I’m going to get a writen lashing for saying something bad about you, but I know that’s the kind of person you are. Don’t worry I won’t take offense.

Its called making a profit, your using there website to make some cash, you don’t have to pay taxes cause this isn’t a real job in a sense. Well it shouldn’t be treated like one. 2 dollars isn’t a big deal to have a fit about unless your trying to make a living off of them and if so don’t use the pay me now use the monthly since you must be dedicated enough to achieve the money amount required. If your trying to use that money to pay bills you should be hitting that button once a month. if your struggling to get food and gas you sound eligible for food stamps and other help.

Wow, I am a ChaCha guide and although paying the 2 dollar fee is an inconvenience…it’s really not THAT big of a deal. I barely do anything and I’m making well over 50 dollars a week. That 2 dollar charge is nothing to whine about.
