Well…I Bought a CreamAid Conversation

I just started a site recently to promote AGLOCO so I decide I would see if I could get a few extra links coming in for cheap and not do much work. CreamAid is a place where you can get people to write posts about your site and give you a link to it. As an advertiser I think it is probably the cheapest one out there really.

I just set it up to get 30 posts on my site AGLOCO Cash Machine and the way all the other advertisers have been doing the fee lately I decided I would just go a head and follow suit. Most of the payouts there are only $1 with a referal of $1 for anyone who gets another post in for the conversation. I just put it up for $2 with a $1 referal fee to see how it goes. I noticed that every conversation before mine was filled with the $1 fee so i just went with the flow and took advantage of ithe cheap links. The total cost for me to get 30 links will be $94.50 which includes 30 posts, 29 referals, and PayPal fees.

You are allowed to reject conversations as welll that don’t meet your requirements so it is possible you get much more than the 30 I signed up for. I made it a real easy post to do since naturally I want people to sign up for AGLOCO and just get a linkback. In fact I know there are more than a few conversations that get extra links because when I just started blogging I did a couple of the CreamAid posts and never got accepted, but didn’t bother to delete the post since it was so far in the past anyways and the link was already recorded anyways.

I will give an update over the next few days to see how it all went. Here is the widget to my conversation:

UPDATE: My review is up. Take a look at my CreamAid Advertiser Review for more details.

I’m interested to see the growth of your network with the quality of incentivized signups you are receiving.

      Brian,

Thanks for keeping the Tech List alive!

      Gary,

It has really slowed down actually. I got my first 20 posts pretty quickly, but didn’t get any yesterday, or today. The sign ups have been less than stellar as well so far, but since it is going to be sitting there for a while I may get a better response just from passerbys. Of course I will have that site linked on a minimum of 30 blogs so the long-term sign ups could be pretty good.

So far I have had to deny 5 posts for not linking to my site, and putting their own referal link into the post. Those were the 2 things I specifically asked for so I don’t feel bad about denying them. If they just had my link I would have probably accepted them and just trusted that they signed up under me, but they still didn’t follow directions. All the ones I had to deny had comments disabled so I couldn’t contact them to tell them I wanted it changed.

I’ll linkback to some of the better posts I got when i do the actual review along with numbers on sign ups. Either way I have about 30 links out there already since the widget still links to my site on the ones I denied.
