The Tech List
I’ve been watching the Z-List go around and it kind of inspired me to create a new list. That and the scam that John Chow pulled that got him booted from Technorati. This isn’t as fast, but it is certainly effective for Technorati and your PR and won’t get you banned. One that is topic specific rather than a bunch of random blogs about anything. This list is going to be all technology, consumer electronics, and science blogs. The stuff I would actually read if I came acrossed such a list. As such the links are weighted better becasue they are from relevant sites.
I added some pretty big sites to my list of places I like to read and some lesser known ones, but you do not have to add such big names because it is unlikely they will link back to you. This blog will be ranked as high as those are eventually I promise you that ;).
The premise is simple. Since I am sarting the list the origin is here, but to make this as simple as possible I am going to outline the rules for the list going forward as it is spread. The detailed section will need to be copied to your post so that whomever you add understands what they are supposed to do. Being all tech geeks I assume most of you can figure this out on you rown, but I want to be as specific as possible and make this list go as far as we can take it.
***Begin to copy here***
1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content string. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra linkback.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
4. Add no more than 5 new TECH, SCIENCE, or CONSUMER ELECTRONICS blogs to the list in the “My Adds” section.
My Adds:
John Chow
Ted Leung on the Air
Geek is a chic.
you’ve been HACKED
IDIOT TOYS
The Originals:
JMH Techtronics
Web Services
UtterlyGeek
Tech It Like A Man!
Ugh!!’s Greymatter Honeypot
techboyardee
The Tech Inspector
***Quit Copying Here***
Well there are the originals and some well read blogs I decided to add. My origin may not go very far, but the other originals will so no need to worry about it spreading. My adds can send me a thank you note when they see the extra couple hundred links I eventually hooked them up with if they aren’t going to link back to me.
