Tech marketing stunts gone awry

I heard about this and wondered what the deal was behind it. They have a slideshow in the link I provided with all the images that were displayed during this “bomb scare”. Of course they are going to have to end up paying some sort of fine for it, but you can assume that the fine won’t be anymore than what they gain from this due to the exposure. Hopefully they can drag it out a bit and get the movie revenu they need. I’m not a big fan of the show really to tell you the truth. Maybe with a few tokes it has its amusements, but it isn’t that great.

What started off as a guerrilla marketing scheme by Turner Broadcasting to promote a new film featuring Cartoon Network cult show Aqua Teen Hunger Force, evolved, at least in Boston, into a citywide bomb scare Wednesday. The city ground to a virtual halt after suspicious packages–magnetic boards (shown here) with LEDs displaying characters from the show giving the finger–were discovered on bridges, highways and bus depots.
