Wii Release Parties

Well…the next console is due out at midnight. I’m not excited about the Wii whatsoeve really. Just not a Nintendo fan anymore. The system has its lovely little features, but frankly I’m not interested in playing every game that comes out with some sort of Mario character in it.

A couple of family members of mine on the other hand will be sitting outside in line for a dozen or so hours to wait for the release of this thing. Have fun. Better hide it because I’ll sell it on Ebay.

November 16, 2006 - Reports rolled in earlier this morning from GameStop regarding its midnight launch plans for the release of the Nintendo Wii. GameStop announced that it will be hosting midnight launch events at over 2,000 of its GameStop and EB Games stores across North America in order to get units in the hands of rabid Wii-hungry gamers as soon as possible. As the clock strikes midnight on Sunday, November 19, customers who have already pre-ordered a system are guaranteed availability at their store. read more
